Your browser encrypts before upload. The server stores only ciphertext and an expiry time; the 256-bit key after # is never sent to the server.

Text and attachments are packed together, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and uploaded as one opaque ciphertext package.

Expiration

After this time, reads are denied, the browser clears decrypted data, and scheduled cleanup deletes the ciphertext.

The encrypted share API is not configured for this build. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_CHAT_SERVICE_URL to the HTTPS PHP service and redeploy.
